Upcoming Action Camp
by EF!Humboldt ~ August 21st, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized. All are invited to our Action Camp this September. We will be taking a stand in the defense of our temperate rainforests and all the life they support, including our own. As with most of the worlds rainforests, logging companies are rapidly clear-cutting and burning large areas here in the name of the dollar. With less than 2% of our original ancient forests remaining this cannot be allowed to continue. We are offering non-violent direct action training, tree-climbing training and backwoods action training to name a few. We invite anyone to share skills and schedule workshops, please let us know as we are working on a schedule outline.
Though Pacific Lumber is in transition and the new owners say they won’t cut Old-Growth we are waiting to see for ourselves. The two other major logging companies in our area are threatening to log giant residual Old-Growth trees as well as planning massive clear-cuts in our forests. We will be taking direct action against this attack on our planet. Expect a more thorough announcement soon detailing events and schedules.

We require that participants take the Non-Violent Direct Action Training before Climbing or Backwoods or involvement in Direct Action. Please contact us if you’d like to add a training or event to the schedule.
